Case summary

Background and Summary of the Incident: (Brief Summary of the Case) Social, Economic, Political, and Educational Status of Victims and Accused: - In the incident, the deceased Santosh Deorao Pawar, who was a Talathi by profession, was on duty in Sajja Bori Sawant Adgaon. And the accused in the murder, Pratap Jagannath Karale, is a farmer living in the same village.
On the day of the incident, the deceased Santosh Pawar and his colleagues, who are eyewitnesses to the incident and also the complainants, Balaji Shivajirao Iware, were both working together. Around 12:00 PM, Pratap Karale came there and asked Santosh Pawar, "What did you say to me on WhatsApp?" Pawar replied, "I said what you said." He immediately threw chili powder brought from his pocket on them.
While Santosh Pawar was trying to defend himself, Karale stabbed Santosh Pawar forcefully in his right side and chest with a knife he had, and continued stabbing him. Due to these deep wounds, Santosh Pawar died.
His colleague Balaji Shivaji Iware states that Pratap Karale suspected that Santosh Pawar was transferring his land to his relatives. It was regarding this matter that he repeatedly quarrelled with Santosh Pawar.
