The incident took place in the state of Bihar, within the Dhaka Police Station area of ​​East Champaran district, at the Government Middle School, Bisarahiyan. The victim, Mr. Umesh Baitha (son of Mr. Baldeo Baitha), is a resident of Village Pipra Bazid (P.O. + P.S. Dhaka, Dist. East Champaran) and serves as the Headmaster of the aforementioned school. Mr. Baitha is a member of a Scheduled Caste. 

The prime accused, Mohammad Akhtar, is a resident of Bisarahinya village and is the husband of the Ward Councilor for Ward No. 08. Mohammad Akhtar is an individual of criminal disposition.On March 25, 2026, Mohammad Akhtar arrived at the school premises accompanied by a mob of 100 to 150 people and launched a life-threatening assault on Shri Baitha while hurling caste-based slurs. When his son, Satish Chandra, intervened to mediate, the attackers struck him with an iron rod, breaking a bone in his arm. Both individuals were left critically injured.
