Pazhakarankadu village under Periyamanali village panchayat in Elachipalayam block of Namakkal district-Tiruchengode taluk is located at a distance of about 25 km south-east of Vaippamalai in between Tiruchengode to Rasipuram road. Maheshwari, 39, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste Hindu Arunthathiyar caste in Pazhakarankadu village, is living in her father's house after separating from her husband due to differences of opinion and has four daughters, two sons and two boys studying in schools and colleges. Maheshwari works as a daily wage labourer in a private garments baniyan company in Periyamanali area. Dhanush, 17, the third child of Maheshwari, who is studying in Class XII at Periyamanali Government Higher Secondary School, was on his way home on Friday evening on 16-09-2022 along with Kumaresan, a Scheduled Caste Hindu Adi Dravidar Paraiyar caste student from Periyamanali Gokalai Village, who was studying with him after school on Friday evening there has been a traffic jam at chinnamalai three road junction due to the evening construction work of a bridge between periyamanali to vaivaimalai road is going on. In the rush of vehicles, the children of Rasipuram SRV private school were moving slowly when thangamani (60) his son Bhupalan (30) and the car driver Sekar (32) of the Devangu Chettiar caste, all of whom belonged to the Kongu Vellalar Gounder caste, abused the SRV private school children's vehicle driver with unspeakable bad words in their mouths asking him to pick up the van. Dhanush, a student who was standing nearby, asked Thangamani why are you scolding the driver with such bad words in public that there are little children in the van. Thangamani of the Gounder caste, his son Bhupalan, the driver of the car, Sekhar of the Devangu Chettiar caste threatened the Dalit students Dhanush and Kumaresan, and twisted their hands and threatened them and asked for the village and caste. As soon as the students tell their Village and caste name, immediately they scolded the dalit students with derogatory abusive words with reference to the students caste names, and said "how dare are you questioning me, are you questioning the goundan who had the courage to do so...,it is wrong to let you walk on the road" he said. Along with them, the other dominant castes in the vicinity brutally attacked the dalit students. After this Incident, FIR filed 137 U/s 294(b),323 IPC r/w 3(i)(r),3(i)(s),3(2)(va) Sc/St PoA Amendment Act-2015. And the counter case also filed on the victims the dalit students.
