Case summary

On 15 December 2025, the complainant, a woman running a coaching class in Rajgurunagar, Khed, Pune, reported an incident involving a 16-year-old student, Pushkar Dilip Shingade. According to her statement, Pushkar had been attending the coaching class for several months and was known to have behavioral issues, including involvement in fights at school.
The complainant stated that on 13 December 2025, Pushkar and another student, Prayam Somanath Manjare, had a dispute. On 15 December 2025, during the morning class session, Pushkar allegedly arrived at the coaching center carrying a sharp weapon (knife/chopper) with the intention of attacking Prayam. He reportedly assaulted Prayam, causing serious injuries to his neck and other parts of the body.
Following the attack, students and local residents gathered at the scene. The injured student was immediately shifted for medical treatment and later referred to a higher medical facility due to the severity of his injuries. The attending doctor declared that Prayam Somanath Manjare had succumbed to his injuries.
The complainant further stated that Pushkar Dilip Shingade, aged 16 years, resident of Siddharth Society, Wada Road, Khed, Pune, committed the assault with a sharp weapon because of the earlier dispute with Prayam. Based on these facts, the complainant requested legal action against the accused juvenile for the fatal attack resulting in the death of Prayam Somanath Manjare.
