Case summary

                      A minor Dalit student brutally murdered by Dominnat caset criminals 

The incident took place near the Bibiganj railway crossing within the Brahmpura police station area of ​​Muzaffarpur district, Bihar.Vikram Kumar (aged approximately 13), son of Pradeep Ram and a resident of Railway Basti (Nikar), East Railway Colony—belonging to the Scheduled Caste (Chamar) community—had gone with some friends on the evening of April 28, 2026, towards the Bibiganj railway crossing to buy samosas. There, he encountered some students with a criminal bent of mind who lived in Bibiganj. Upon seeing Vikram and his friends, these students shouted, "Where is that *Chamar* going? Catch the bastard! How dare he come here?" The thugs grabbed Vikram and beat him mercilessly, leaving him in a near-fatal condition. Believing him to be dead, they fled the scene. Some students from Ravidas Tola passing by found Vikram lying on the ground; observing his critical condition, they admitted him to Minakshi Hospital. His family was informed of the incident; his mother, Asha Devi, and other family members arrived at the hospital, and he was subsequently taken to Muzaffarpur Sadar Hospital. From there, he was referred to SKMCH, Muzaffarpur, where there was gross negligence in his treatment. Later, he was admitted to City Lion Hospital, where he passed away during treatment on May 5, 2026. Had he received proper treatment at the government hospital, Vikram might not have died. Prior to his death, Case No. 135/26 had already been registered at the Brahampura Police Station regarding the incident.
