A Dalit Man Natrajan was brutally murdered by Caste Hindus

    Mr. Natrajan (53) is resident of Rajiv Gandhi, Ammapettai Post, Chidambaram Taluk of Cuddalore District and residing along with his wife Saraswathi and son Raja (37), Daughter-in law Sivasakthi and grandchildren Dharshini, Varshini, Valavan. His son Raja is working as union secretary in VCK party [national party] of the 3rd ward, Kaddavacheri.


     Natrajan was working as daily wager in agricultural lands and mason at times. And in the night he was working as security in Bala Sarawathi Trade Complex, Ammapettai for the past 9 years. A man named Baskar was holding a tea shop in the trade complex and Baskar’s wife Rajakumari is looking after the tea shop.


     Natrajan was helping Rajakumari in many times in running the tea shop. During times, he used to watch TV in Rajakumari’s house and Rajakumari’s brother in law Sudakar many times verbally abused stating that not to allow Dalit man into the house.


     Meantime on 25.04.2020 around 7:45 pm, as usually he had gone for his work and the next day morning (26.04.2020) he was found dead in the nearby canal. He had brutal and severe head injuries and more than 15 cuts in his head alone. His remaining parts also had brutal injuries.


     A case has been registered at Annamalai PS with the crime no: 263/2020 u/s 302 of IPC and the deceased Natrajan was taken Chidambaram Government Hospital. On 29.04.2020 around 11 am, Natrajan’s body was given after the postmortem and it was cremated in the Kaddavacheri graveyard.

Physical violence over a cricket match

    Outside the village, some Dalit children were playing cricket. While they were playing, some Brahmin children started interrupting in the game, and took away their bat and ball. When the Dalit children, asked the Brahmin children to return their bat and ball, they started beating them. Dalit children somehow, could escape from their and reached home, and narrated the incident. On this, the parents of the Dalit children, went to the house of the Brahmin family and complained about it. To, this the Brahmin family reacted violently, and started hitting the Dalit family with sticks, and started abusing castesist remarks like ‘Saale Chamar tum logo ki itni himmat tum mere ghar aa gaye’. In this scuffle, Choteylal, Adarsh, Premchand, and Prabhavati were badly injured.

Mass Attack by Brahmins on Dalit Hamlet

    On 7.8.2020, Dalit victim’s son Rajendra Prasad Gautam’s son Vikram, was shooing away a cow, which was eating the standing crops (Wheat) of his farm. All of a sudden Ravindra Dubey, started hurling caste remarks, and started hitting Vikram. Villagers came to rescue. Rampur police station was informed. After that on 08.08.2020 in the morning at around 9 a.m, Rajendra Prasad was sitting at his home, when people from Brhamin hamlet Rinku Dubey, Anuj Dubey, Vikas Dubey, Ravindra Dubey, Rahul Dubey, and some other anonymous people came as a mob with arms and sticks and started hitting Rajendra Prasad, in which he got gravely injured. When family came to rescue, Radheyshyam gotbadly injured, and got a fracture in his head, and shoulder also got hurt badly. Krishna Kumar’s finger got fractured, and Mahadev’s head also got fractured.


     


    While returning, the Brahmin perpetrators set fire in the Dalit Hamlet, and again gave death threat to all. Victim’s called 100, however they returned back from Brahmin hamlet only.


     


    Somehow, Dalit victims reached Rampur police station, and informed the SHO and demanded justice. After lot of effort, the officer registered the case, and further sent the victim to public health center for medical.


     


    Though victims were gravely injured, but the opposition Brahmin perpetrators filed counter FIR, with Act 308.

Mass Atrocity over Cattle rearing

    On the day of incidence at 5 pm, Ravi Kumar, Pawan and Atul was rearing his cattle (Buffaloes), when Asif, and three other friends asked Ravi and his friends to rear his cattle (Sheeps) too. As, Ravi Kumar and his friend refused they started making caste abuse and started hitting them. Ravi and Atul went back crying, on which their parents Sursatti Debi, mother of Ravi, Pawan’s mother Satti Devi, and Atuls brother Virendra questioned Asif and his family, on which they again started hurling caste abuse and threatened to set their house on fire, and called 112.  By then village Head, Pradhan came and tried to make peace and 112 were stopped to further intervene.  However, by evening perpetrators came as a mob of 200 people and surrounded the village, disconnected power, started firing and entered the village, and set houses on fire, destroyed 2 hand pumps,  4 goat and 2 Buffaloes died, 6 Motorcycle were set on fire. Ransacked Rajesh’s shop.     Some people from Dalit family were out for wedding, when the incident took place, on knowing the status of the village, some women and children were sent to the nearby village Chiddaiyadih. By the time, people returned, their houses were on fire, all the properties got destroyed. Nebulal’s daughter was about to get married, her jewelry also got damaged, along with all the other things. By the time police were informed it was already 9-10 pm.  2 Police vehicle came with force, 2 fire brigade came to control the fire. By 2 a.m (10.06.2020), 35 people were arrested. By next day (10.06.2020) 2 accused were presented in front of the District Magistrate, and was asked for immediate relief and compensation to the victim’s family, which includes Ration, 5000 cash for 7 people, Clothing for ladies, and from CM relief fund 10Lakh compensation was announced. Further spot investigation by the I.G was also done.

Brutal Attack on Dalit Teacher

    On 21.09.2020, around goons in the number of 25-30 attacked the house of the Dalit Teacher. Fortunately, the main gate of the house was locked from inside, thus they could not enter the house. But the goons damaged the properties of the victim, which includes cars (Scorpio, I-10,) Eco-sport of relative Anil Kumar (Village Sachiv: Mariyampur), Four Motorbikes.


     


    Further, they broke the channel of the door, and attacked Balgobind Singh, because of him he got injured in nose, figure, and face. Broke the CCTV, and kept on giving death threat.


     


    During the same period, one family member was coming back from toilet, from outside, when the goons, got hold of him, and brutally attacked him, and when the condition of the person got worse, they left the place.


     


     The family in the past molested the sister of the victim (2017), and very often looks for opportunity for fight.
