Facts & Summary of the Case:
The complainant, Rameshwar Dilip Kamble, a 31-year-old wage earner from Sanja, District Dharashiv, lives with his parents, wife, and two daughters. On 31/03/2025 at around 10:30 pm, while stopping at Kaka Bhore’s paan stall at Sanja Chowk, he was confronted by Yogesh Shahu Suryavanshi and Devidas Shahu Suryavanshi. Yogesh Sudhakar Suryavanshi abused him using caste-based derogatory language, insulted his family members, and attempted to assault him. Later, while the complainant was eating food, Yogesh returned, spat into his plate, broke it, and physically attacked him. The fight was temporarily broken up by local witnesses, including the stall owner and other bystanders.
Subsequently, at Sarjerao Mohite’s shop, the accused again confronted him. This time, Devidas Shahu Suryavanshi tried to stab him with scissors, injuring his face and lower back, while Yogesh hit him with an iron rod on his arm and Daya Sudhakar Suryavanshi assaulted him with a fighter weapon. After he fell to the ground, Yogesh also kicked him in a sensitive spot and issued death threats. The complainant was first taken to Padwal Hospital, then shifted to Gala Government Hospital, and later treated at Sarkari Hospital from 01/04/2025 to 04/04/2025. Due to his mental and physical condition, he could not give his statement earlier.
The incident thus involves serious physical assault, caste-based abuse, intentional humiliation, and criminal intimidation, with multiple accused persons jointly participating in the assault.
