Social, Economic, Political, and Educational Status of Victims and Accused: -
The deceased and the victim in the incident are youths from the Dalit community. Their economic and social status is weak. And the accused are associated with government organizations and are financially capable.
The victim of the incident, Padmakar Shivaji Suryavanshi, lives with his family in Nekanal village. The deceased in the incident is Sachin Suryavanshi, his younger brother, who worked as a Poclain machine operator in the village. Shiva Raghunath Garibe and Mahesh Vishwanath Birajdar, who live in the village, also own Poclain machines. A few days before the incident, on 06/06/2024, at 8:00 AM, Mahesh Birajdar, and on the same day at 11:00 AM, Shiva Raghunath Garibe, came at different times and verbally abused the victim and the deceased Sachin's wife Rekha and a relative living in the neighborhood, suspecting Sachin of breaking the glass of their Poclain machine. And on 16/06/2024, the accused attacked the deceased Sachin Suryavanshi with a sharp weapon on the road, while he was returning from work, leaving him injured and fleeing. Vishnu Kadam and Prakash Kamble, who recognized the victim, informed the victim's brother that Sachin was found injured near Madlapur Saste. Sachin was then taken from there to the government hospital in Udgir, then to Sahyadri Hospital in Latur, and from there to Ruby Hall in Pune for treatment. He passed away during treatment at Sahyadri Hospital in Latur.
