Three dalit   families belonging to Bauri Caste have encroached on a piece of government land adjacent to their own land. The said government land was under their possession and penalty under encroachment case was paid by them for years. Recently two brothers Brundaban Kandi and Gopal Kandi were granted houses under Indira Awas Yojana and they started construction of the new bounding over the encroached land.

              Some of the advanced caste persons with the intention of depriving the victims from possession of the government land and to grab the same land attacked the SC families on 13.03.2016, abused and assaulted them, set fire on their dwelling houses demolished the half constructed houses and took away the stacked iron rod collected by the victims for construction of building. The fire was put out by Fire brigade.

            The dalits filed complaint with the local Police on the same day and the FIR was registered on the next day.

            One women Lilia Kandi sustained injury which was later found that her hand had fractured bones. She was admitted to District Headquarter Hospital, Jagatsinghpur on 13.03.2016 till 19.03.2016.

मंजूबाला जो कि काबड़ी गाँव में जे बी टी टीचर के रुप में पढाती थी परंतु मंजु की जाती चमार होने के कारण स्कूल में उन्हे हर दिन जाति भेद -भाव का सामना करना पडता था। जिससे मंजू तग आ चुकी थी। अगर कोई भी स्कूल में आ जाता तो मंजु से ही चेयर मगवाई जाति थी। इतना ही नही बल्कि हर टाईम स्कूल में सभी टीचर के द्वारा मंजु के चरित्र के बारे में गलत बोला जाता था। बल्कि मंजु एक गलत चरित्र की न होने के कारण वह इन सब झूठे अफवाहों से परेशान हो चुकी थी। इस स्थिति में मंजु कुछ ज्यादा तो लिख नही पाई क्योकि वह बहुत टैन्शन में थी। पर मंजु ने अपने सुशाइड नोट में सभी टीचरो के नाम लिखे हैं। जिनके द्वारा मंजु को तग किया जा रहा था। सभी टीचर आपस में चाल चलते थे बच्चों से सौ -2 रूपये इक्ठ्ठे करवाते थे। और फिर चाल चलकर मंजु को फसवाने के लिये दुबारा से बच्चों को पैसे वापस करवा देते हैं।
