Thanalakshmi (29) W/o Mr. Arokkiyaraj (A) Raja is a resident of Amman Temple Area, Suljr Block of Coimbatore District. She is post graduate and residing with her husband and has two children Aradhana-05, and Advika-5. She is belonged to the Hindu Arunthathiyar Caste. Her husband works as a day laborer, Dhanalakshmi takes care of household chores and children.

In this situation, on the evening of 09.02.2021, hotel owner Karikalan, Parota Master Karuppusamy and Driver Muthu had beaten Arokkiyaraj to death for asking more subji to parotta for children at the Kaurimari Hotel run by the local Hindu of Devar caste [other backward caste].

Dalits in Sivagiri Banana Garden in Porusupalayam of Inchampally of Modakkurichi Block of Erode District had started a union in the name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for BSP Auto Drivers’ Union and was running their livelihood. The other political parties affiliated people of that location had joined together with the policemen and had defamed the portraits of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Periyar.  The case was registered at the C police station under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act on 30-09-2021 and the accused persons were not arrested.

Sellamuthu, (63) is a resident of Palakkad Road, Nallur Village, Zameen Muthur, Pollachi Taluk of Coimbatore District. He had heard that there is a task of guarding the coconut trees and this was told by his neigbour Kathir who is a resident of Pollachi Vadakkipalayam Kanal Puthur area.

On 27-08-2021 he along with six women, four men [10 persons] by auto to the above said plac and had went for daily wage work. Meanwhile a man nearly aged 50 years belonged to the Gounder caste came to the place and after inquiring about the caste of the village, he suddenly denounced the women in aggressive language referring to their gender and verbally abused them.

The occupants, including Sellamuthu, came and told him that he had not brought them and they are working and getting paid from other person belonged to Gounder caste and he had to do nothing with them. Frustrated Gounder had verbally abused and brutally attacked with his caste mob and the injured was rushed to the Pollachi Government Hospital.

Veerasamy (52) S / O Patton, is a resident of Door No: 51/47, Ambedkar Road, Nallagaundanpalayam, Gobichtipalayam Block of Erode District 638 476. He is belonged to the Hindu Arunthathiyar Caste [sub caste of Scheduled Castes] and has been working as a painter and agricultural laborer. His wife name is Alagammal and has one daughter named Jaya (27) and two sons Jayaraj (25) and Murugesan (18). His wife is working in V.J. in Gunnathur Garments Company. Veerasamy's daughter Jaya and son Jayaraj are both married and living with their family seperately. His last son Murugesan is working after completing his eighth standard.

On 31.08.2021 Karthikeyan Gounder had come to Veerasamy’s house and asked Veerasamy to weed the grass in his Thirunagar NCN Garden Municipal Road behind his house. At around 12 noon I was weeding the area. Meanwhile Srinivasan Gounder [of nearby plot] had come to Veerachami and had shouted not to weed the grass in his place and had verbally abused him.

He had also brutally attacked with an iron pipe and Veerasamy had a bloody wound on his back and left arm. He was throbbing with pain. Vijayakumar Gounder and Senthil Kumar Gounder came to spot and tried to pacify the situation and he was taken to the Gobi GH as in patient and a case was registered Gobichettipalayam Police Station
