Rajammal is a resident of No: 3/37, Thandakaran puthur, Thtithipalayam village, Perur Block, Coimbatore District and has been living at the address for the last 30 years. She has belonged to the Hindu Arunthathiyar caste. She is residing with her husband Karuppasamy, and two sons, Prem Shankar and Umashankar. Rajammal’s younger sister Mani had died 15 years ago and her son Ravi was raised by Rajammal and he belonged to the Kurumbakkaundar caste. He had an inter-caste marriage with a woman named Sumathi and he has three daughters.

The Arunthathiyars in the village of Thandakaranputhur has a customary to draw water from a tap in a public place. On 08.10.2021 at around 03.00 pm the son of the owner, Madan Gopal had told to take away the drums and utensils holding water at their place. And he had verbally abused Rajammal in filthy language referring to the caste names in public view

Then his daughter-in-law Sumathi came rushing and asked for Madanagopal for his act. He had pulled her hair and pushed in the floor and threatened to burn them to death. They both received treatment from GH. The complaint was then lodged under Cr.No:363/2021, U/s: 294(b),323,506(ii) – IPC, r/w:3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) – SC/ST PoA ACT – 2015. The accused Mathan Gopal was arrested. 

Dalit Youth Sakthi (28), s/o Mr. Murugesan (Late), Daily Wage Worker and he is residing with his wife Priyadarshini (20). On 19 -07-2021 he had walked from his house to Five Palm Main Road, met his friend Karthik on the way and was talking to on the side of the road. Meanwhile, Abi, (22) S/o Manoharan [Government employee in TNSTC] had come in a two-wheeler and was rash driving and stopped near Sakthi and Karthik.

Sakthi was anxious because of Abi’s rash driving and had asked not to ride in such a way and Karthik pacified the issue between Sakthi and Abi. In the evening, Abi along with his father came to five palm bus stand on Namakkal Tiruchengode road. They both had verbally abused Sakthi in public view and had brutally attacked him. Sakthi was taken to the Pallipalayam Government Hospital by 108 emergency ambulance

 More than 150 people have blocked the road on the Namakkal-Tiruchengode main road demanding action against the two -Manokaran and Abi. The victim, who was being treated as an inpatient at the Pallipalayam Government Hospital after being subjected to a violent attack, was interrogated by the Pallipalayam police and the case was registered at Pallipalayam PS and the accused persons were not arrested. 

K. Divyakumar is residing with his family and he is belonged to the Scheduled Caste. His wife's name is Sumithra and he has a daughter named Sukanya (25) and a son named Haris (20). He is Coimbatore district president of the Dravidar Tamil Party and his wife Sumitra had got loan through a self-help group at MSM Micro Finance Microfinance Institution at Idayarpalayam, Coimbatore Canal Road last March 2020. He received a loan of Rs. 30,000/

In this case, while he was at home on 11-08-2021, MSM Micro Finance microfinance institution employees Pratip, Vimal, and Vignes knocked at his door as if they were breaking down the door. The group came from the loan office and said that the loan that he has borrowed is Rs. 82,000 / - and now they have come to collect it.  Divyakumar had told them that they did not have any money at the moment. One among the three persons tore Divyakumar’s visiting card [embedded with Dr. Ambedkar’s image] and had verbally abused them referring to the caste name and also abused his wife Sumithra referring to the abusive sexual words and had also threatened that if they do not pay they would kill them.

Venkanar, (26) is a resident of Panangattoor near Kaundhapadi, Bhavani Taluk of Erode district. He is belonged to the Aruntathiyar caste. On 11.10.2021 his father Manimaran was conversing with his friends near the Annamar temple premises of Panangattoor village. Meanwhile, Driller Thirumurugan from the Gounder caste [other backward caste] had verbally abused referring to the caste names at Venkanar and his friends.

That night, as usual, while Venkanar was sitting in the temple, Driller Thirumurugan had again verbally abused Venkanar in public view and had brutally attacked him. Venkanar was taken to Kavanthapadi Government Hospital by his friends Ekambaram and Danraj in a two-wheeler and assisted in providing first aid. A case has been registered against Driller Murugan under the SC/ST PoA Act.

Bhupathi, 34, S/o Mr. Ramasamy (Late) is a resident of Kodumudi circle, Erode district. He has belonged to the Scheduled Caste. He had contested in the TN general election 2021 as an independent candidate for BSP party in Modakurichi – Erode reserved constituency. He along with his supporters Devendran, Ranjith Kumar, Sekar, and Dhamodaran were asking for votes and engaged in a campaign on 31.03.2021 in Injammalpalli Kumarampalayam.

Meanwhile,  Jagadesan Gounder,  Saravanapuram Ramsankar Gounder, Chettikattuvalasu Viswanatha Gounder had verbally abused them in filthy language referring to their caste names and had threatened not to ask any vote from Injammalpalli Kumarampalayam people. And the caste mob had also brutally attacked them. Victim Devendran had lodged a complaint at Malaiyampalayam PS on 31.03.2021 to file a case against Jagadesan Gounder,  Saravanapuram Ramsankar Gounder, Chettikattuvalasu Viswanatha Gounder under SC/ST PoA Act, and the accused persons were arrested on  01.04.2021
