Mania village is situated under Tangi Police Station of Cuttack district, in which 25 families of Sabar tribes reside. In the recent panchayati raj election, there was high tension in the area between different political parties. Usually one major political party gets the vote of the sahi; they used to threaten the tribal people to cast the votes in favour of their candidate. This time, the tribal sahi seemed to support another political party as they joined a rally organised by that candidate. This infuriated the other prime political party; to terrorise the tribals, they launched a mass attack on the tribal sahi on 21.2.2022, the night before the polling day.

 As it reveals about the incident of that evening, the tribal inhabitants were sleeping in their houses. At about 8 P.M., a group consisting of  Mohan Bahalia S/o- Umesh Bahalia, Jayanta Behera S/o Dharaindhar, Bhaskar Das S/o Amulya Das, Tapan Mallick S/o Netrananda Mallick, Janmejaya Khillar S/o Jayadeba Khillar, Keshab Behera S/o Lt. Baya Behera, Gopal Sahoo S/o Loknath Sahoo, Prasanna Behera S/o Maku Behera, Lipun Barik S/o Bhagaban Barik, Sinu Behera S/o Bira, Jitu Behera S/o Bichitrananda Behera and others reached the sahi, entered the house of Nanda Dehury and Bimbala Dehury and forcibly took Nanda Dehury with them to the village chhak. There Nanda Dehury was beaten mercilessly by the group; in the process he sustained bleeding head injury. Bimbala Dehury, W/o Nanda Dehury cried for help and some men & women of the tribal sahi came running to the spot.  The perpetrators abused them with obscene language aspersing their tribe name and outraged modesty & threatened to rape the women. One Pramila Dehury was assaulted and suffered sprained hand. There was a tussle and the tribal people rescued Nanda Dehury from the dominant caste persons. Nanda was taken to hospital and had to have six stitches on the injured head. Bimbala lodged complaint in the police station on the next day which was registered as Tangi PS case no 33 dated 22.2.2022  U/s 363, 506, 325, 307, 336, 354-A, 294, 34 IPC with 3(1)(r)(s), (2)(v)(va) of SC & ST PoA Act. Counter case was also lodged by the opposite group which was registered too.

On the day of fact finding it was learnt that six persons from tribal sahi and four persons from dominant community sahi were arrested and later released on bail. It was found that Nanda Dehury is yet to recover fully from the effect of the head injury and mostly confined to bed.

दलित महिला विन्दू देवी जो वर्तमान में सीठापुर गांव में आंगनबाडी कार्यकत्री पद पर कार्यरत है। जो दिनांक 1.4.2022 को सुबह 10ः30 बजे गांव की राधा यादव के पति विजय यादव पिछले कई महीनो से चमार जाति होने के कारण दुर्व्यहार करता रहा और जाति सूचक शब्दों में बार-बार गालियां देता रहा है। मुझसे मिलने नही आती इस कुत्ती चमाइन को नौकरी से निकलवा देने व अपने आदमियों से मारवाने की धमकी देता रहा प्रवेश कुमार गुप्ता पुत्र बसंतलाल गुप्ता और विजय यादव पुत्र लाल बहादुर यादव दोनो लोग गन्दी-गन्दी गालियां देते है डेढ साल से बच्चो का रासन खुद हजम कर रहे है कभी मेरे केन्द्र पर राशन उपलब्ध नही करवाते है यदि मै सी.डी.पी.ओ. कार्यालय राशन लेने जाति हूॅ तो अपने आदमियो से मरवाने की धमकी देते है और मेरे अधिकारियों को धमकी देते है कहते है कि मेरे घर में प्रधान व जिला पंचायत सदस्य है मै जो चहूॅगा वही करना होगा इस लिये मुझे केन्द्र तक जाने में बहुत डर लगता है वे लोग मेरे साथ कुछ भी कर सकते है इसके बाद मै थाना सिकरारा जाकर थानाध्यक्ष को प्रार्थना पत्र देकर घटना से अवगत कराई और बडी सिफारिश के बाद एफ.आई.आर. दर्ज करवाई और नौकरी की सुरक्षा की मांग की। इसके बाद जब इसकी जानकारी सस्था के साथी विजेन्द्र जी को हुई तो इस मामाले में पिडित से मिलकर सारा मामला सुनने के बाद महिला आयोग एवं अनुसूचित जाति आयोग में पत्र भेजवाया गया इसके साथ ही इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट मे कैबीयट दाखिल करवाया गया तब जाकर मामले में लिपापोती से बचना हुआ। अब पैरवी चार्जशीट के लिए किया जा रहा है।

दलित गीता देवी पत्नी राम सामुझ ग्राम बरौली पो0 व थाना बदलापुर जिला जौनपुर उ0प्र0 पिछले कई महीनो से पडोसियों से जमीनी विवाद व दिवानी न्यायालय में मुकदमा चल रहा है और बीच-बीच में गाली ग्लौज व मार-पीट फौजदारी मुकदमा चल रहा है।
इसी विवाद को लेकर दिनांक-24.02.2021 समय सुबह 8 बजे को पीडिता के पडोसी प्रहलाद उर्फ पप्पू पुत्र राम किशोर, चन्दन पुत्र राम किशोर, प्रदीप पुत्र राम किशोर, देवानंद पुत्र राम किशोर, राजू पुत्र भानू, राजेश पुत्र नन्दलाल, सुक्खू पुत्र बुद्धू, राम किशोर पुत्र पुचई, सुबास पुत्र राम दुलार बरौली बदलापुर काफी दबंग एवं सरहंग गोलबन्द किस्म के व्यक्ति है इन्ही लोगो के साथ सुरेश गुप्ता पुत्र लल्ला गुप्ता बरौली बदलापुर ने पीडिता के बने पुराने छप्पर को हाथ में लाठी डण्डा से लैस होकर गाली ग्लौज देते हुये गिराने लगे पीडिता के घर में उस समय कोई पुरूष नही था पीडिता गीता देवी उनकी देवरानी राधिका देवी ही घर पर ही थी। तो छप्पर गिराने गालियां देने से मना करने लगी इतना सुनते ही सुरेश चन्द्र गुप्ता पुत्र लल्ला गुप्ता ने कहा कि माधर चोद, चमाइन, चमकटिन इन दोनो की इज्जत लूट लो इतना सुनते ही दोनो देवरानी जेठानी घर में भाग कर घुस गई सभी विपक्षीयो ने उनके घर में घुसकर महिलाओ के साथ छेड-छाड व बलात्कार करने की कोशिश किया पीडिता की देवरानी की साडी खीचकर फेक दिये तथा बलात्कार करने की कोशिश की अपनी जान व इज्जत बचाने के लिये जोर-जोर से चिल्लाने लगी इसी आवाज को सुनकर जेठानी रीता ससुर फूलचन्द्र तथा पडोसी कौशिल्या देवी व गांव के बहुत सारे लोग दौड कर आये और बीच बचाव किया जिसमे राधिका के कान की बाली व सोने के लकिट मैमंगल सूत्र सहित मीनी बैक के रखे गये 96 हजार रूपये छीना झपटी व लूटपाट किये अपराधियो ने धमकी देते हुये कहा की इस घटना की कोई कानूनी कार्यवाही करोगे तो जान से मारकर खत्म कर देगे पीडिता 112 नम्बर पर फोन कर घटना की जानकारी दी पुलिस मौके पर आयी और राधिका को थाने ले जाकर बंद कर दी क्योकि विपक्षीगण ड्राइबर है 112 की गाडी चलाता है और इधर घर पर जो जमीनी विवाद था उस जमीन पर मडहा, नाद, खूटा कायम करके कब्जा कर लिये तथा शाम तक पीडित को दबाव डालकर पुलिस वालो ने सुलह करवा दिया न ही मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया न ही मेडिकल करवाया गया दूसरे दिन राधिका जिलाधिकारी महोदय जौनपुर को प्रार्थना पत्र दया तब किसी तरह मेडिकल हुआ मेडिकल लेकर थाने गई लेकिन पुलिस ने मुकदमा दर्ज करने के बजाय डाटकर भगा दिया। दिनांक-27.02.2021 को पुनः पीडिता पुलिस अधिक्षक जौनपुर को रजिस्टर्ड पोस्ट किया कोई कानूनी कार्यवाही नही की गई जिसके कारण एफ.आई.आर. दर्ज कर व न्याय हो इसके लिये धारा 156 (3) के अन्तर्गत कोर्ट मे दिनांक 08ः03ः2021 को न्याय के लिय दरखस्त दिया गया तथा पैरवी निरंतर करने पर दिनंाक-13.09.2021 को तीन बजकर 10 मिनट पर एफ.आई.आर. दर्ज हुआ जिसकी धारा इस प्रकार है।

This case is registered in Jajpur Police Station basing on the complaint by Prasanta Kumar Jena Age-36, S/O- Kahnei Charana Jena of Caste- SC, sub-caste- Pana , village-Chital (Jhadanga), PS- Jajpur, District- Jajpur.

Prasant was the Polling Agent of independent Sarapanch candidate Smt Ranjulata Mohanty of .......... Panchayat of Dasarathpur Block in Jajpur district. It was early in the morning; Prasant was sitting in Booth no-5 as the agent. At that time weapon wielding group led by Sitakant Satpathy made a forced entry in to the polling booth with the intention of booth capturing. They threatened all to vacate the booth. They were the supporter of the contesting candidate Smt Bijaylakshmi Satpathy, daughter in law of Sitakant Satpathy. Prasant did not leave the booth and opposed them. The accused persons abused Prasant with obscene languages aspersing his caste name Pana, pushed him and assaulted him by means of fists, blows and weapons like bhujali and lathi. In the attack, Prasant sustained bleeding head injury.

Being injured, the victim was taken to DHH, Jajpur and treatment was given including stitches on the head and bandaged. After the treatment, the victim went to Jajpur police station and lodged complaint which was registered as FIR no 60 dated 18.2.22 under Sections 294, 323, 506, 34 IPC with 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(2)(va) of SC & ST PoA Act. The victim met the Suptd. Of Police, Jajpur on on 25.2.2022 and to the Collector, Jajpur on 28.2.2022 and requested for his protection as the accused persons are said to be planning to attack him further. He also met Additional D.G, HRPC to request for his protection.

The accused persons are Sitakanta Sathpathy, 2- Sukuta, 3-Tubula, 4-Dhania Sathpathy S/O-Sitakanta Sathpathy, 5-Nira Sahoo, 6-Sarat Rout, 7-Santosh Rout, 8-Kunu, 9-Kalia S/O-Balu Sahoo, 10-Pintu S/O-Jada.
