On dated 24^th June 2009, Victim Ravindra Bhikchand Salve was going to give Tiffin to his grandfather by the noon, at that time one perpetrator Gangaram Vaman Vazir (Dhangar Caste)who was drunk called the victim Ravindra & abused him on caste. He asked him why he is abusing him on caste, on that count perpetrator Gangaram beaten him. Victim Ravindra gave the complaint of the said case in the Majalgaon Police Station, where they registered the case & sent him to Majalgaon Govt. Hospital for medical examination. But Police demanded bribe to arrest the accused, as he did not pay the same thy have not arrested the perpetrator.

            On the very next day i.e. on 25^th June 2009, the father of the victim Mr. Bhikchand Salve returned from the work as he was gone for sugar cane cutting work out side the village came to know that his son was beaten by the Gangaram Vazir, he went to his house to ask him as to why he has beaten his son? But the perpetrator Gangaram Vazir called some persons & started throwing stones on our house & also started beating to the father of victim Ravindra. The father of the victim Ravindra ran away but perpetrator Gangaram came with Namdev Vazir, Rajabhau Vazir, Dattat Umbare, Sunil Umbare, Kamlakar Umbare, Dashrath Umbare, Nana Umbare, Bansi Umbare, Satish Umbare, Namdev Umbare, Pintu Dhepe, Sahebrao Fulge, Bhaurao Fulge, Anil Umbare, Ishwar Fulge, Ankush Umbare, Rambhau Nimbalkar, Vikas Khadar , Vilas Samale, Baba Fulge, Somba Umbare all belonging to Maratha, Dahngar & Mali community & CHAVA Sanghatna. They all had the sticks, chain, iron pipes & rod, axe, sword etc. in their hand. All the perpetrators started abusing the victim & his family on caste & started throwing stones on the house of victims. The grandfather of victim Mr. Sadashiv Salve (Retired Teacher) tried to solve the trouble but he has been also assaulted with sword & axe by the perpetrators. All the family members of victim namely Pravin (Brother), Bhikchand (Fatehr), Sadashiv (Grandfather ), and all other female members of his family including victim Ravindra were brutally attacked by all the above perpetrators with sticks, chain, iron pipes & rod, axe, sword etc. & suffered head & other serious injuries on their bodies. Therefore they were admitted to Majalgaon hospital first & then Beed Govt. Hospital. But the grandfather of the victim was died without treatment.

FIR is registered with Majalgaon Police Station under sections 336, 337, 326, 324, 504, 506, 143, 147, 148, 149 of IPC & 3(2)(v) of PoA Act vide FIR No.124/09 dated 25/06/2009, Section 302 of IPC is latter on added to the FIR.

                 Banavathu Lakshmi Bai (40) w/o Hemla Naik belonging to scheduled tribes is the resident Pedanemalipuri village of Rajupallem mandal in Guntur district.  As there were no works in their village Lakshmi Bai’s family migrated to Piduguralla and were working in the quarry. They erected a small hut in the quarry and were staying there. Lakshmi Bai and her husband came into the town to buying domestic goods. From there her husband went to their native place. It was late and since Lakshmi Bai being in a drunken state could not go home has slept near the shops beside the Praja Rajyam Party Office. Having noticed this, 3 youth came in a drunken state, dragged her into the public toilets. One of them was standing to watch and the remaining two youth raped her. When she shouted for help, the lorry drivers nearby came, rescued her and caught hold one youth and handed over him to police. Though the victim was there in the police station the whole day nobody cared for her. In the mean time some tried to compromise. With the intervention of DSS a case was registered and action was speeded up.

                  Kalwal is a gram panchayat in Narva mandal of Mehaboobnagar district. Approximately 500 families stay in the village, of which OC Reddy (Munnuru Kapu) - 350 families, SC Madiga - 103 families, SC Mala – 3 families and OBC - 75 families. Very few dalit families have a piece of land and all the rest are landless. Most of the dalits migrated to Bombay as daily labourers. The dalits in village have to go for daily labour in the lands of dominant community people. Both the Gram Sarpanch and MPTC member belong to Reddy community.

                  Esrampalli Chinna Balaiah stays in the village along with his eldest son Esrampalli Anand (32), Jyothi (30) w/o Anand, second son Esrampalli Vijay (28), Ratnamma (25) w/o Vijay. On 19^th June’09 Chinnabandla Malleswara Reddy s/o Bhimanna working on daily wages in the panchyat office has come alongwith 2 other workers to repair the tap near the house of Chinna Balaiah. While the other 2 were busy on their work, Malleswara Reddy was taking away the ash tin. When Anand questioned him, Malleswara Reddy abused Anand on the name of caste, caught hold of his hand and pushed him down. Having noticed that his brother has fallen down, Vijay beat Malleswara Reddy. Around 1.30pm the village Sarpanch and MPTC called both the groups and compromised.

                 Later in the evening when Vijay went out in the village, he was questioned and abused by Anand Reddy and Anji Reddy. Vijay went to the Sarpanch and while he was saying him about the incident suddenly power was put off. Malleswara Reddy and 150 others came with sticks, whips, etc and attacked the house of Anand. Giramma w/o Balaiah, Jyothi w/o Anand’s and Ratnamma w/o Vijaya tried to stop them entering into the house, but in vain. Having come to know that both Vijay and Anand were not at home, they abused them in filthy language and warned them saying that they will see the end of her sons, further abused them saying “Aa madiga langa kodukuolanu, epudu kakapothi repu ayena champutamu”. Since Bomanna, Jayappa and others repeatedly pleaded them and as even MPTC member asked them to go back, they went away. 

               Anand and Vijay went to Narva P.S at 12:00 in the mid night and lodged a complaint on Malleshwara Reddy. Having come to know that they have lodged a complaint, drinking water was stopped for 3 days and not allowing anyone to work in the fields Balaiah.

The attack is in continuation of the previous attacks. For the first time it was in February 1994, social boycott was imposed, drinking water was stopped for one month. Likewise in the year 1997 they were once again attacked. Further Anand was beaten as someone wrote “I Love You” on a church wall. Like this the family is being targeted for simple reasons. One of the main reasons behind the attacks is that this family owns land, don’t depend on the dominant community and question the violations of the dominant community.
